Description
An elegant tazza combining crystal and porcelain.
A finely cut crystal bowl with a serrated rim, mounted on a white porcelain stem and foot decorated with roses in relief and gilt highlights, resting on a mount with scrolled feet.
The combination of cut crystal, flower-encrusted porcelain and gilt metal reflects the Napoleon III and Rococo Revival taste, which favoured such table centrepieces, at once precious and decorative.
A display piece for fruit or confectionery that plays with the light.
